Privacy Policy — Diilitori.fi

Diilitori.fi is a deals/comparison site. Most of the product links you see lead to third-party retailer websites through affiliate tracking links. We currently work with two affiliate networks, Awin and Adtraction, and are in the process of onboarding a third, Tradedoubler.

When you click one of these links, you leave Diilitori.fi and are taken to a merchant's website (in a new tab). The link either goes directly to the affiliate network's own domain (e.g. awin1.com), or to a merchant-specific tracking address that the network operates on the merchant's behalf. At that point:

• The affiliate network and/or the merchant set their own cookies on their own domain, to record that you came from Diilitori.fi (this is how we sometimes earn a small commission on a purchase, at no extra cost to you). See section 2 for concrete examples.
• Your interaction with those sites is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. We recommend checking the privacy policy of the merchant or network in question if you have questions about their tracking practices.

We do not receive any personal information about you from these clicks — only anonymous, aggregated statistics about how many people clicked a given link.

Diilitori.fi does not set its own analytics or advertising cookies (e.g. Google Analytics or similar). The site does not require you to log in or create an account. Your browser stores a single small technical value (not a cookie) that remembers whether you have already seen the site's category hint — it contains no personal data and never leaves the site.

The site's code does load one third-party script on every page: Awin's (affiliate network) so-called "Publisher MasterTag" (from dwin2.com). Awin may use this script to set its own tracking cookies directly on the Diilitori.fi domain — not only when you click a product link — for affiliate-sale attribution purposes. We have not enabled any of Awin's additional add-ons (e.g. advertising or loyalty-program plugins) beyond this base tag.

When you click a product link and land on a merchant's site (section 1), the affiliate network and/or the merchant additionally set their own tracking cookies on their own domain — not on Diilitori.fi. Examples of cookies these networks commonly use, per their own public privacy policies:

• Awin — e.g. _aw_m_[program ID] (links a click to a later purchase), bId (browser identification), and awpv[program ID] (view-based tracking). Duration varies by program, typically 30 days to 1 year. Set on the awin1.com/zenaps.com domain, or on the merchant's own site. Source: privacy.awin.com.
• Adtraction — uses a GUID identifier (at_gd), among others, for affiliate-sale tracking. Duration is merchant-specific (Adtraction describes it as a "predetermined period"). Some Adtraction merchants use their own branded tracking domain (e.g. in the form "go.merchantname.fi") instead of a plain adtraction.com address. Source: adtraction.com/privacy-policy.
• Tradedoubler (being onboarded, not yet active on the site) — uses a JavaScript cookie set on the merchant's own domain (not Tradedoubler's), with a default duration of 30 days. Per Tradedoubler's own description, the cookie does not contain personal data. Source: tradedoubler.com/en/privacy-policy.

Per each network's own description, none of these cookies contain your name, email address, or other personal data — only technical identifiers used to link a click to a possible later purchase. These cookies are set on the affiliate network's or merchant's own domain; we do not see, store, or control them directly.

If we enable our own analytics tool in the future (e.g. Vercel Analytics), or if any third-party script starts requiring consent, we will update this policy first and add a cookie consent banner as needed.

Like virtually any website, Diilitori.fi runs on hosting infrastructure (currently Vercel, Inc.) that automatically processes basic technical information for every visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and request timestamps. This happens at the infrastructure level for security, abuse-prevention, and service-operation purposes — it is not something Diilitori.fi itself collects, stores, or uses for marketing.

This processing is necessary for the technical operation of the website and relies on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and functioning. For details on how our hosting provider handles this data, see Vercel's Privacy Policy.

No. Diilitori.fi does not have user accounts, does not run any forms that collect personal data (no newsletter sign-up, no contact form, no comments), and does not sell anything directly — all purchases happen on the merchant's own website, not on Diilitori.fi.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data (if any) we hold about you
• Ask us to correct or delete it
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest
• Lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto) if you believe your data has been mishandled — tietosuoja.fi

Given that Diilitori.fi processes essentially no personal data directly, most of these requests will simply confirm that we hold no personal data about you beyond the standard technical hosting logs described in section 4.

We may update this policy as the site evolves (for example, if we add analytics or new affiliate networks). Material changes will be reflected with an updated "last updated" date at the top of this page.
